The year is 2665. How much of your family and your freedom have you lost to those infected? Scelerata pestis is the plague that has changed humanity as we know it. Some call it a religious apocalypse; others see it as a chance for the human species to evolve, should they learn how to harness and control this mutant strain. With the worldwide population cut in half and rumors of a cure lingering on the lips of public officials now for decades, what humans remain are getting desperate in their city barricades.

Scelerata pestis isn't an average plague. It has four levels, and with each level, the infected becomes less human. There are talks of Miscreants (the plagued) with wings, the ability to shift, enhanced physical strength, and the ability to manipulate the elements. There are even whispers of immortality, but the humans as well as the Miscreants are convinced that's false hope.

The plague kills the host body within seven to ten years, which is why the Miscreants are setting their sights on the human compounds. Talks of a cure have never been louder. It's out there, and the Miscreants' cry for their non-infected, once-brethren is clear: "Give us the cure, or there won't be any humans left to need it."

Ilse is a Level 2 Miscreant.

↳ She is played by Holland Roden and is currently open.

 → B I O G R A P H Y

"Don’t be afraid… I’m not going to hurt you." That was the last thing the mysterious man told her before her transition. Desperate for attention, Ilse went along willingly with the man. She had been alone for so long, that anyone who could compliment her appearance was a good enough person for her. Unlike many of those who were turned, Ilse wasn’t bitten. Although the bite is the most common way the disease can be spread, she obtained it by sleeping with her maker. The attachment grew stronger, and the sire still exists to this moment. She knows that killing is the only way the bond will break, but a part of her wants to keep the sire, just to say she can keep something in this life. She is ready to let go of her humanity, but she wants to find a different way to do it other than kill.

 → P E R S O N A L I T Y

Shallow and desperate, Ilse is exactly like the person she was before she turned. The loyalty is stronger, the bond feels more intact than it should—it couldn’t fuel her ego more. As much as she knows of her fate, she also feels an urge to rise above her nature. When she’s around humans, she’s different. She’s confident, a bit cold, but confident. She chooses to act differently in hopes that she will be different as she becomes a Level 3. She wants to take away that shallowness she once had and trade it in for strength.

 → T R A I T S  &  A B I L I T I E S

mind: level 2 - an use basic persuasion on humans OR possession abilities become stronger (can be used on a larger non-human creature)

body: level 2 - enhanced strength (speed, ect.) OR dormant flame (only resides in the finger tips, able to set things on fire)

spirit: level 2 - can hover/”fly” up to 25 feet off the ground OR enhanced vision of up to five miles.

Rhyley is a Level 3 Aeronaut.

↳ She is played by Troian Bellisario and is currently open.

 → B I O G R A P H Y

Rhyley was a special case. She has no memory of her life prior to turning, and although most would consider this a blessing, she considers it a curse. She wants to know how her life was before she became a miscreant. She is finally considered free; for it had taken her longer than most to break the sire between her and her maker. She has always been more drawn to the art of persuasion, so when she advanced to Level 3, she chose the path of being an aeronaut. The idea of persuasion and the focus on being able to fly seemed to appeal to her. She’s a slow learner, and although most of her humanity is gone, there is still that small shred that keeps trying to find it’s way back.

 → P E R S O N A L I T Y

Since she has no prior memory of her life before, Rhyley goes about life the way she’s supposed to. She follows the rules of miscreant life, feeling her humanity slip away more and more each and every day. She’s cold and bitter, much like most of the higher miscreants. However, she finds comfort in the presence of humans, and she acts a lot nicer when she’s around them. She’s persuasive, and much like many other miscreants in her level, she can minorly alter her features to trick the humans, something she’s learned she’s quite good at. However, even with her interaction, she still can act quite cold in order to get the things she wants.

As of now, all she wants to do is help the miscreants find the cure and harness it for their own desires. The thought of death in a few years does not suit her, and she would rather be immortal than dead.

 → T R A I T S  &  A B I L I T I E S

mind: level 3 - persuasion on humans, the ability to minorly alter one’s features.

body: level 3 - enhanced strength

spirit: level 3 - can hover/”fly” up to 50 feet off the ground (a small pair of wings have also grown in by this stage).

Fae is a Level 2 Miscreant.

↳ She is played by Dianna Agron and is currently open.

 → B I O G R A P H Y

Equipped with a sharp tounge, Fae doesn’t take no for an answer. Disgusted with the nagging humanity on her shoulder, she’s shut it out completely. They called her insane—thought she was a different type of miscreant. She had the voice of her spirit, along with the present voice of her humanity. By this point, the spirit would have more control, but it seems that they’re still evenly matched. Always a fighter, Fae isn’t ready to give up without a fight. Her maker was killed during her first Level, therefor breaking the sire early. Killing her victims is always the easier and the most preferred choice, but some have been fortunate enough to turn…or get away. Fae is ready for her humanity to go away completely—she’s not one who enjoys the guilty conscious

 → P E R S O N A L I T Y

With her humanity still very much in the picture, Fae is unpredictable at best. One minute, she’s absolutely peachy, a soft voice and a calm heart, much like how she was as a human. Other times, she’s raging, ready to kill and attack anything in sight. With her confusion, she is an easier target for hunters and mercenaries. But, that doesn’t mean she isn’t just as sneaky as the rest of those in her Level. Her charm and her ties to her humanity are very much beneficial. After all, she usually gets what she wants. She is unsure of what abilities she wants, but all she knows is that her humanity better disappear with this next level change.

 → T R A I T S  &  A B I L I T I E S

Xavier is a Level 2 Miscreant.

↳ He is played by Tom Felton and is currently open.

 → B I O G R A P H Y

Xavier is unsure of what he wants out of this life. Whether that’s becoming a aeronaut and using the power of persuasion or being a shapeshifter and able to trick people, he’s undecided. All he knows, is that he wants to watch the world suffer. For a Level 2, his humanity sits on the back burned while his spirit takes control. A rare case, but acceptable nonetheless. His loyalty to his sire is completely gone, and he’s ready to continue growing. His spirit is evil, much like everyone else’s. Only his serves a purpose at such an early stage.

 → P E R S O N A L I T Y

Although his spirit holds a plan, Xavier is also very reserved and quiet. He would rather kill off the remnants of the human race in silence rather than in shouts and screams—it makes for a more easily executed plan. He’s known as being very bitter when he does speak, especially to other miscreants. He feels like he has more power than others, and he wants to make sure they realize that. However, all of the higher levels realize he’s a lot of talk by this point. After all, he’s only a level 2. When he is around humans, he acts innocent and lost, hoping to attract some all too caring woman.

 → T R A I T S & A B I L I T I E S
